*Average vs Median

The average is calculated by adding up all the numbers in a data set and then dividing by the number of values. The average can be skewed by very high or very low values (outliers).

The median is the middle value in a data set when the numbers are arranged in ascending or descending order. The median is not affected by outliers and provides a better sense of the typical value in a skewed distribution.
